Well, my love of comics is a side-effect of my original love of cartoons. So not surprisingly, thats how I first discovered Nightcrawler. WAAAAAAY back in the 80's when dinosaurs ruled the earth (or at least the white house) I was watching Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends and there was a group guest appearance of the X-Men. The character that caught my attention was the blue demon character that was atually a good guy! (from He-Man and the Wizard of Oz, i'd learned only bad guys looked scary!) For the long time between when i saw this episode and actually started colecting comics I remembered the really freaky looking guy who was a prankster but still a good guy. I started to actually read more about him, and found I really connected with him. And he's been my favorite fictional character ever since.
I came here on the Exodus from the Wizard Wolrd Boards, back when KC started this gig.
(And my how it's grown...)

My older brother used to read X-Men, so when we were young, he and I would watch Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends hoping for an X-Men guest appearance. He would also show me his comics when he bought them. Oddly enough, I don't really remember Kurt in the 'toon or comics - I guess I remember Storm the best because she was the girl of the team.
Anyhoo, years later, I started reading my bro's back issues and fell in love with the team (which consisted of Wolvie, Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Shadowcat, Rogue, then Rachel). I liked Kurt and all but he didn't become one of my favorites until I began reading Excalibur. He really shined in that series! I loved his charm, his sense of humor, but most of all, his faith. I also thought, "Wow, Kurt is pretty cute," (due to Alan Davis' art) and felt more than a little awkward considering so many people said he looked like a demon!
I came over to the wonderful Monument from the old Wizard Board at Drags' invite! KC, more kudos to you for creating such a great site!!!

He was the BEST character (especially with the game genie). I really liked how his tail moved behind him, like a cat.

[ Warning! i'm about to go into a geeky, video-game junkie rant... ]
BLUE ELFIE I used to go CRAZY over that game!
At the time, it was THE coolest interpretation of Nightcrawler to ever appear in a home game console! Then of course when I discovered the fact that he was hands down THE BEST character to use to beat the game with...
As great as Kurt was in that SEGA game, he was even better in the awesome sequel..X-MEN2:Clone Wars!
'Clone Wars' had awesome game play, GREAT graphics by the old Sega console's standards and a great storyline! (Youre racing against time to defeat the PHALANX!)
AND NIGHTCRAWLER ABSOLUTELY KICKED A@@ IN IT!
Not only was he the fastest of the games 8 playable X-characters, (Which included Gambit, Psylocke, the Beast and even Magneto!) but he was also one of the coolest! He walked on walls and ceilings (convenient for avoiding enemies and booby traps!) and they had his teleportation effect down pat! (If ya ever wanna know what *BAMF!* would really sound like, check out this game!)
Now if they could only make an X-game that awesome for the Playstation, Dreamcast or the N64...
BAMF!

Awww. I want that game, BAMF!
Our Sega still works, but the Nintendo is on the fritz.
The weirdest part was that Dad bought that game for us kids without even consulting us. He had no clue! Then I forgot about it for a couple of years. But now that I've rediscovered it, it's one of my favorite games (along with SoulReaver on Playstation)
